I wish I’d said I love you sooner

I had so many chances

I could’ve told you while we made dinner

And stole those loving glances

I should’ve said I love you 

Every night and day

Instead, the words lodged in my throat

And now they’re there to stay

Why didn’t I say I love you

I wasted both our time

Now the only way I can say I love you 

Is through this stupid rhyme

But you already know how much I love you

I told you over the phone

But how much good is saying I love you
